Two Social Experiments With Italian Museums: #Svegliamuseo And Invasioni Digitali At #AAM2014


From May the 18th 2014 to the 21st , Seattle will be hosting the American Alliance of Museums annual conference. This year’s theme will be focusing on “Innovation Edge”, and the official program promises to be densely rich in content: we searched for those topics which interest us the most (Media and Technology, Marketing and Public Relations, Organizational Planning and Evaluation) and got more than 30 talks as a result!

Wouldn’t you travel to Seattle in the blink of an eye?

We would, and that is why Valeria will be there and will make of live-tweeting  her life-mission: follow the hashtag #aam2014!

In-between tweets – and at the ‘Museums & the Web’ Pavillion – she will also be discussing the wave of innovation brought to social media in Italy by two projects which have featured at the M&W conferences in 2014: one is us, #svegliamuseo, and the other is Invasioni Digitali. For anyone interested, the title of her talk will be “Kickstarting social media”: she will be sharing our experience with the AAM community and will be collecting its (we-hope-stimulating) feedbacks.

AAM will therefore be yet another occasion to present our project on an international level, of which we are extremely honored, and one that we hope will represent a further step towards the creation of a dynamic network linking digital professionals all over the world.
